A Letter From The Mayor
Township of Bensalem
Joseph DiGirolamo
Mayor
November 17th
Dear Business Person:
As you no doubt already know, Bensalem was voted as One of the 100 Best Communities for Young People in America by a nationwide non-partisan group, and in an article talking about municipal government, our town was called “A Model for America” by the Bucks County Courier Times. Accolades and achievements like this don't come about by accident; they're the result of hard work and dedication by individuals and organizations that truly care about our community and its citizens. One such group is the Bensalem Kiwanis Club, and they recently launched a new initiative that's near and dear to my heart …..
“FLY OLD GLORY”
For a tax deductible donation of only $25.00 per flag per year, the Bensalem Kiwanis Club will supply and install 3' x 5' American Flag(s) on your property on Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day; they will then remove and store your flag(s) until the next holiday. You can fly as many flags as you have space for, the more the better.
I can't conceive of a more convenient and affordable way to show your patriotism, and as an extra added bonus, the proceeds from this program will support many worthwhile Kiwanis initiatives like supplying winter coats for needy children, providing scholarships for deserving students, and maintaining our handicapped accessible playground, Imagination Land.
As Mayor, I hope to see Old Glory flying in front of every local business, and I'm hoping that I can count on you to help the Kiwanis Club to help our kids. Please take a moment to fill out and return the enclosed order form, and on behalf of the Bensalem Kiwanis Club and the children and families that benefit from a variety of Kiwanis Club initiatives, thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Sincerely,
Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo
