Jill Sitnick
Jill Sitnick has been associated with Bensalem Township School District as a professional educator since August 1995 at which time she was employed as an English teacher for Bensalem School District, a position she held until 2003 at which time she became a Teacher on Special Assignment as Software Specialist, an assignment she held until her recent appointment by the Bensalem School Board as Supervisor of Technology in May 2010.
During Ms. Sitnick’s tenure with the School District she has always approached her assignments with dedication, commitment, enthusiasm and purpose. As Software Specialist, and now as Supervisor of Technology, it is Ms. Sitnick’s responsibility to provide teachers, staff and administrators with information and direction on integrating technology in educational school settings, grades K through 12.
In addition to her myriad responsibilities, Jill supported the newly employed teachers by presenting them with classroom management tips, differentiated technology instructional techniques, use of smart board technology, and assisting with individual teacher web site development/design. Going above and beyond the call of duty, Jill attended numerous “back-to-school night” sessions assisting parents in signing up for the school district’s emergency notification internet system. Other technology related projects she has been involved with this past year include:
- Enhancement/expansion of the School District web site
- Supporting the District’s special education department by researching and facilitating the use of “iTouch” technology for an autistic elementary student
- Active participation as a member of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit’s Cyber School committee
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies through active participation with over twenty instructional blogs via Google Reader
In her spare time Jill Sitnick is an adjunct professor with Gratz College/Randall associates and has earned the distinction from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an exemplary integrator of technology in the practice of teaching.
Ms. Sitnick has had a profound impact on the students of Bensalem School District through her superb technological support of staff members in the delivery of education to the student of Bensalem.

2010 Educator of the Year
Angela Felt
The late Angela Felt was employed by the Bensalem Township School District for thirteen years and served as librarian at both Armstrong Middle School and Faust Elementary School. Angela was an excellent librarian, the ultimate professional, placing the needs of her students first. Her caring, giving, generous nature was unsurpassed by none. She strived to make life a better place for all her students.
I would like to nominate the late Angela Felt for the Educator of the Year Award. Through her naturally, giving, caring personality, Angela gave of herself without reservation to all of her students. As her name indicates she was an “Angel” to the students whose lives she touched and continues to be an “Angel” to the students in the Bensalem Township School District especially at Faust Elementary School through the Angela Felt Memorial Fund. Angela’s contribution to the Bensalem community continues to be never-ending.
